What is a direct care or private pay medical practice? Peachtree Family Medicine provides highly personalized and affordable primary care medicine for a simple monthly, quarterly or annual fee that covers all or most of your primary health care needs. Many physicians across the country are switching to this model of care as the administrative time saved by not accepting health insurance allows us to give you the undivided and personal attention that you deserve as a patient. Peachtree Family Medicine is able to provide unhurried 30 to 60 minute office visits and direct 24/7 access to Dr. Bovelsky via her email, personal cell phone and on-line video. This direct access allows her to care for your total physical and mental well-being. Her ultimate goal is to help you lead a long and healthy life by focusing on preventive care and treating chronic disease through a customized health plan. You will also have the ability to book appointments and request prescription refills anytime. You will have full access to your medical record and get timely feedback on any results. Same day and next business day appointments are the norm. The flexibility and accessibility of these medical services would not be possible in a typical insurance-based medical office.
How is your family medicine practice different from a concierge/boutique practices? Peachtree Family Medicine is different from concierge medicine as these practices tend to charge large annual retainer fees which limits the ability for most people to afford them. On top of the retainer fee, most of these practices usually charge the insurance companies for an office visit. We want everyone to have access to great healthcare! Your membership plan includes a annual physical exam and 3+ office visits throughout the year. Any labs that cannot be processed in-house such as cultures, pap smears and biopsies would be billed through the lab. You are getting concierge medicine with the quality time, personalized attention and direct access to a physician without the concierge price!
Can I use my Health Savings or Flexible Spending Accounts? Yes! You can submit the receipt for each office visit and apply it to your HSA or FSA accounts. By law, the entire membership fee can not be submitted to these savings accounts. Only the individual medical office visit costs can be submitted. A receipt is given at every office visit. A physical is shown on the receipt as $150 and a regular office visit is shown as $80 for adult visits.
Will you file with my insurance company if I have Medicare or Medicaid? Peachtree Family Medicine does not submit claims to any insurance plans including Medicaid and Medicare. Federal Regulations prohibit patients from seeking reimbursements for payments they make to a physician who has opted out of Medicare. Both Medicare and Medicaid should cover outside lab testing, imaging, medicines, hospitalizations and referrals as part of your health insurance plan. You will need to check with your individual insurance company as this can vary.
Will you file with my insurance company if I have private insurance? Patients who have private insurance may be able to submit claims using an out-of–network benefit.
Can I continue to use my other in-network providers and services? Choosing Dr. Bovelsky as your provider does not preclude you from using other in-network specialists, hospitals, labs, imaging and using your health insurance to cover these costs. Through her previous affiliations with Christiana Care Hospital, Bayhealth Hospital and the local urgent care/medical aid units, Dr. Bovelsky has long-standing relationships with many specialists in the area.
What if I need to speak with the doctor outside of the normal office hours? Just call! We know sickness can occur anytime and not always during regular office hours. As a member, you will be given Dr. Bovelsky’s personal cell phone and email so that you have direct access to your trusted physician. For non-urgent matters, we ask that you email or call the office the next business day.
What does my membership include? Depending on the membership level chosen, your plan includes a comprehensive annual exam and at least 3 additional office visits per year. This includes any EKG’s, nebulizer treatments, urine, strep tests or small office procedures that need to be done as part of the visit. At this point, the only extra in-house office cost would be for immunizations if needed.
How long is the Peachtree Family Medicine Membership for? The membership plan is done in one year increments. Patients can set up a monthly, quarterly, biannual or yearly payment plan. At the end of the membership plan year, patients can elect to continue the current membership plan or change to another membership plan. The membership plan will automatically renew unless otherwise specified.
What if I move and have to leave the membership plan early? We certainly hope that you will stay with Peachtree Family Medicine! If you move out of the area or need to change providers there is no termination fee.
How will technology play a role in my care? Technology will play an important role in providing 24/7 direct access to all of your healthcare. You do not need to be tech savvy. You will be able to schedule appointments anytime-no more waiting to call in the morning for an appointment. Just go on line, check the availability, and do it the night before from the comfort of your home. Receive timely feedback on your labs and imaging on-line directly from your doctor. Secure access to your personalized medical record via the patient portal. Virtual visits- via video webcam if you are not able to come into the office. Review educational pamphlets that pertain to your current health. Receive health maintenance follow-up reminders.
